Origen - Origin  

Posteriormente se efectuaron cruces con el Colillano y con el Quebrado Murciano, y más recientemente con el Rafeño y con el Laudino Sevillano.

                       Cabeza  - Head  

Cabeza  
La cabeza del buchón Granadino, forma un cuadro con la frente, la nuca y la parte alta, por delante el pico es romo, grueso y cae en forma engatillada. Las carúnculas nasales  deben formar un triángulo, abriendo y haciendo prominencia donde une a la pluma de la frente. A los dos años aproximadamente, las tienen notoriamente rizadas. Debajo del pico tiene tres verrugas, normalmente mas grande la del centro, que a veces puede llegar al tamaño de un garbanzo pequeño. El ojo es grande y de tonalidad rojiza, así como el ribete que lo circunda que será grueso y abierto hacia fuera.
Como es la cabeza ?

El cuello es esbelto y recio; debajo de la verruga central le sale una especie de papada, que continúa con el buche, el cual será ancho, rajado, descolgado y redondeado en su base, no ha de ser demasiado voluminoso, pues así es propicio a embuchamiento y a que el palomo no se defienda bien en el aire; a este conjunto se le denomina "delantera"; en la parte de atrás del cuello se forma un morrillo que le da un aspecto airoso.

Las medidas del buchón Granadino que se han dado corresponden al macho del buchón granadino; en la hembra disminuyen un poco la del cuerpo en general y mas las de la cabeza, rosetas, verrugas y ribetes, así como la forma de la cabeza que no es tan chata como la del macho.
